Mazor Robotics 2012 year in review: 156% growth in volume and 200% increase in installed base

Münster, (PresseBox) - Since the last NASS meeting, we at Mazor Robotics have made some significant progress:

- Our case volume has increased by 156%
- The installed base of Mazor Robotics Renaissance systems in the US more than doubled
- The case volume of robotic guided procedures per installed system increased by 200% since the start of 2011
- The proportion of percutaneous MIS cases in our case volume reached 40% - which is about 3 times greater than the national average for the proportion of MIS cases to total cases
- The scoliosis and complex deformity case volume tripled and surpassed 300 cases in the last year
- Our team size tripled and our global presence crossed many borders with new installations and sales spanning the globe from India, Vietnam, China and Europe
- We received FDA Clearance and gained CE mark for the use of Renaissance in brain surgery

The numbers are exciting - but I am more excited for the people behind the numbers. I am excited for the patients that now stand taller and breathe deeper after deformity correction. I am excited that radiation exposure was reduced for the surgeons performing the percutaneous fusions - that they could offer minimally invasive surgery to their patients without incurring excessive radiation exposure to themselves.

Just some of the Mazor Robotics Renaissance programs started since last NASS include Tri-City Medical Center in Oceanside, CA; Celebration Health in Celebration, FL; Florida Hospital in Tampa, FL; and Houston Orthopedic & Spine Hospital in Houston, TX. Each day at NASS, a surgeon from one of these sites will be available at our booth for peer-to-peer discussions on their experience with Renaissance.

If you are attending NASS, I welcome you to join us at booth #1829.

On Thursday, October 25th at 12 pm in the Solution Showcase (booth #1347 next to NASS Bistro) Dr. Payam Moazzaz of Tri-City Medical Center will present on the hospital's Renaissance program.

We are also conducting a hands-on lab in Dallas on Saturday, October 27th to provide you with the opportunity to experience Renaissance.

Please schedule time with us at NASS, stop by our booth, or if you are not attending - let us know how we can share the benefits of Renaissance with you!
