Marcam Engineering hat heute seine neue AutoFab Software für Rapid Manufacturing Anwendungen veröffentlicht. AutoFab wurde speziell zur Unterstützung der Produktion von Metallbauteilen mit generativen Schmelz- und Sinterprozessen entwickelt. AutoFab ist dabei das Bindeglied zwischen der 3D-Konstruktion und der Maschinensteuerung der Rapid Manufacturing Anlage.

AutoFab bietet dabei ausgefeilte Funktionen zur Bearbeitung von Bauteilen und zur effizienten Zusammenstellung von Baujobs. Das System unterstützt den Anwender in allen Schritten von der Überprüfung der importierten CAD-Daten bis zur Erstellung baufertiger Schichtdaten. AutoFab liefert erprobte Lösungsstrategien für eine fertigungsgerechte Datenaufbereitung.

Die optimale Bauteilqualität steht dabei im Vordergrund.
