Die MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG beabsichtigt zusammen mit der indischen Force Motors Ltd. die Bildung eines Joint Venture zum Bau schwerer Lkw für den indischen und den gesamten asiatischen Markt. Anton Weinmann, Vorstandsvorsitzender der MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG, und Abhay Firodia, Chairman und Managing Director der indischen Force Motors Ltd. in Akurdi, Pune, unterzeichneten heute eine Absichtserklärung für dieses Projekt. Es umfasst den Aufbau der Produktion von schweren Lkw der Marke MAN, sowie Einkauf, Entwicklung, Produktion und Vermarktung.
