Håkan Samuelsson, CEO of MAN SE, will kick off the "Innovative Entrepreneur" lecture series at Munich Technical University on Thursday, October 29, 2009. The lecture series is a joint initiative between UnternehmerTUM GmbH and MAN SE, which sees top executives from the MAN Group and other major companies address issues found in all areas of the value chain in technology and growth-oriented companies.

In his talk on "strategic company management and the importance of growth and innovation," Håkan Samuelsson will discuss the knowledge and competencies required to successfully make strategic decisions and market innovation in the world of business.

These lectures enable students to see topics such as opportunity identification, innovation management, growth and leadership in a practical light and to speak to the experts directly. The series of lectures proved very popular in the 2007/2008 winter semester and were attended by around 400 students from 12 faculties at Munich Technical University.

Prof. Dr. h.c. Karlheinz Hornung, CFO of MAN SE, and Dr. Stephan Timmermann, a member of MAN Diesel SE's Executive Board, will also join Håkan Samuelsson in providing insight into their business practice in the lecture series for the 2009/2010 winter semester.

The lectures offered by UnternehmerTUM GmbH and MAN SE will be held on Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Munich Technical University's main campus (Arcisstr. 21, 80333 Munich) in lecture hall 1100.
