LED professional Symposium +Expo (LpS) - The leading European LED technology event in the lighting industry presents an extended program for 2013
LED/OLED leading convention-trade show with 45 expert lectures, 5 workshops, 2 tech panels, 1 light art project, 80 exhibitors, 2,000 m² of exhibition space and over 1,000 expected visitors
Lectures, Workshops and Tech-Panels
This year, a total of 45 expert lectures were chosen from a large number of submissions by the advisory board from international experts to be presented during the three day symposium. The lectures will be staged in two parallel sessions on the topic of Solid State Lighting, starting with LED and OLED light sources to requirements and solutions for applications. In addition to that, this year there will be five special workshops which will help deepen knowledge in the areas of standardization, 3 dimensional system design and optics, computer-based system design of LED/OLED systems as well as qualification and system reliability. Two interactive tech-panels offer the chance to discuss the newest trends and developments with the experts and work out successful strategies for the future.
Exhibition and Networking
Over 80 well-known international companies from the areas of component and modules will be presenting their products on 2,000 m² of exhibition space. The LpS organizers are expecting over 1,000 visitors this year. People will have the opportunity to find the right business partners and get information directly from the leading service providers and manufacturers in regards to individual solutions. Underwriters Laboratories (UL) from the USA, Harvard Engineering from Great Britain, Tridonic from Austria and Osram from Germany are all sponsors of this year's event.
The Festival House in Bregenz, with its inspiring atmosphere offers optimal conditions for networking activities. The networking highlight will be the Get-Together evening cruise around Lake Constance with dinner and live music again this year.
Light Art Project
This year a "Light Art Project" will be staged as an evening event. Zumtobel, a global player in the lighting industry, will present the criteria, design and practical effects of a modern light installation in the newly renovated "Vorarlberg Museum".
"Originality and enhancements reinforce the notion that Bregenz is a hub for innovation and technology in the area of LED and OLED lighting. Through the connection between science and industry, fantastic preconditions for new developments in the dynamic field of LED and OLED technology are created," said Siegfried Luger, the event director and publisher of LED professional.
The LED professional Symposium +Expo is accompanied by four scientific partners, seven supporting light organizations and more than twenty media partners.

Bregenz is located on the shores of Lake Constance and is one of Austria's leading cultural and leisure areas and is at the same time at the heart of Europe. It is the capital city of the state of Vorarlberg and the seat of the provincial government with a population of 28,000. The area is known as a high tech region in the heart of Europe and is only a 2-3 hour drive from other technology hubs in northern Italy, France and Germany. Vorarlberg borders on Germany, Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein. Bregenz can be reached directly by rail and the airports of Altenrhein, Friedrichshafen and Memmingen.
