Peter Gerber resigns as CEO

Peter Gerber, currently CEO of Brussels Airlines, will step down from his post today, and leave the Lufthansa Group. He has led the Belgian airline since March 1, 2021, in addition to holding the newly created position of Lufthansa Group Chief Representative for European Affairs.

Christina Foerster, member of the Lufthansa Group Executive Board, will take over the airline's leadership on an interim basis. Christina Foerster knows Brussels Airlines well, having served there as CCO from 2016 and as CEO between 2018 and 2020. A long-term successor for Peter Gerber
