Linear Technology Corporation präsentiert die neuen ICs LTC2856/LTC2857/LTC2858, eine Familie von RS485/422-Transceivern mit geringer Leistungsaufnahme und 5V Betriebsspannung. Die Typen LTC2856-1, LTC2857-1 und LTC2858-1 unterstützen Datenraten bis zu 20MB/s; die Typen LTC2856-2, LTC2857-2 und LTC2858-2 unterstützen Datenraten bis zu 250kb/s und begrenzen die Anstiegsgeschwindigkeit des Ausgangssignals, um HF-Emissionen aus Geräten und Datenkabeln zu minimieren. Dank eines verbesserten ESD-Schutzes an den IC-Anschlüssen widerstehen die Transceiver elektrostatischen Entladungen bis ±15kV (Human Body Model), ohne dass Latchup auftritt oder das IC Schaden nimmt. Die ICs arbeiten sicherheitsgerichtet: Bei offenen oder kurzgeschlossenen Eingängen gehen die Ausgänge automatisch in den High-Zustand über. Die Empfänger in
