Die Linear Technology Corporation stellte jetzt den LT3491 vor, einen Konstantstromtreiber für weiße LEDs mit sehr hohem Wirkungsgrad, der in einem kleinen SC70-Gehäuse Platz findet. Der LT3491 wartet mit einer on-chip integrierten Schottkydiode auf, wodurch sich Einsparungen beim Kostenaufwand und Platzbedarf ergeben, da eine externe Diode entfallen kann. Eine bemerkenswerte High-Side-LED-Stromerfassungstopologie macht es möglich, die Katode der LED direkt mit Masse verbinden zu können, womit quasi durch das Bauteil eine Eindraht-Stromquelle zur Verfügung steht. Der LT3491 ist dafür ausgelegt, bis zu sechs weiße LEDs aus einer einzigen Li-Ion-Zelle mit einem Wirkungsgrad von über 75% zu speisen. Die Schaltfrequenz liegt bei
