Der Aufsichtsrat der Linde AG hat Thomas Blades (55) als neues Mitglied des Vorstands bestellt. Blades folgt auf J. Kent Masters (51), der heute aus dem Vorstand der Linde AG ausscheidet. Blades wird seine Tätigkeit spätestens zum 1. April 2012 aufnehmen.

Blades war zuletzt CEO der Oil & Gas Division des Energy Sectors der Siemens AG. Der studierte Elektro-Ingenieur ist britischer Staatsangehöriger und verfügt über eine breite internationale Erfahrung im Öl- und Gasegeschäft. Innerhalb des Vorstands der Linde AG wird er - wie sein Vorgänger Masters - für das Gasegeschäft des Unternehmens in Nord- und Südamerika sowie für das Geschäft
