Leica Geosystems updates its Zeno series of GNSS/GIS products

(PresseBox) ( Heerbrugg, )
Leica Geosystems is pleased to announce new members of the Leica Zeno GIS series - the new Zeno 10 3.5G and Zeno 15 3.5G new dual-constellation, network-enabled handheld GNSS receivers and the newest Zeno Field v1.2 software. Designed for GIS data collection and mapping applications, the Zeno 10 3.5G and Zeno 15 3.5G integrate built-in communications (integrated 3.5G module, WLAN and Bluetooth), an open operating system, and a powerful GNSS receiver. The Leica Zeno GNSS scalability - GPS or GPS/GLONASS configuration - and its integrated compatibility with reference station networks enables GIS users to map features in high-accuracy anywhere and anytime.

Leica Zeno 10 3.5G and Zeno 15 3.5G

The new Zeno 10 3.5G and Zeno 15 3.5G pack all the power of a dual-constellation receiver, a 3.5G modem and a rugged Windows handheld into a small, reliable and very powerful package. With the new GNSS/GIS handhelds, no additional modem, batteries or other equipment is needed to dial-up to a reference station, everything is built in. The user can access reference station networks for submeter to decimetre mapping, by simply attaching the "Plug'n'Play" external antenna Leica AS05.

Leica Zeno Field v1.2

The Leica Zeno Field software is an OEM version of ESRI ArcPad 8 and provides - in addition the complete ArcPad functionality - a full range of functions to easily control the integrated GNSS receiver and to manage the data collection process such as GNSS raw data logging, easy handling of GNSS real-time configurations (either with internal 3.5G module or external Bluetooth phone, external radio device), feature accuracy management, and an automated workflow between the field and office.

Furthermore, Zeno Field now supports
- Shortcut keys to quickly capture points by simply pressing a button on the numeric or QWERTY keypad.
- Support of Bluetooth devices such as Laser Rangefinders
- Cablefree connection to the GNSS survey receivers Leica Viva GS15 and Viva GS10
