INM beteiligt sich an europaweitem Großprojekt zu schweißbarem Rostschutz

Im Projekt Weldaprime bringt das INM - Leibniz-Institut für Neue Materialien seine Expertise aus der Nanokomposit-Technologie ein. In diesem europäischen Projekt entwickeln die Partner Rostschutzbeschichtungen für großindustrielle Anwendungen. Die neuen Schutzbeschichtungen für Stähle sollen zinkfrei und schweißbar sein. Gleichzeitig können sie sich durch besondere Nanopartikel selbst reparieren. Als einer von elf Partnern aus sieben EU-Ländern beteiligt sich das INM an diesem Projekt, dessen Koordination die European Welding Federation innehat.

Weldaprime wird im Rahmen des siebten EU-Forschungsrahmenprogramms (7 FRP) mit rund fünf Millionen Euro gefördert und ist auf drei Jahre angelegt.
