New technologies from Schleswig-Holstein
Kendrion Kuhnke continue on the path of innovation
With its Industrial and Automotive divisions, the Dutch Kendrion group addresses markets that continuously demand for new solutions and innovative technologies. The two German companies Kendrion Kuhnke Automation and Kendrion Kuhnke Automotive based in Malente in Schleswig-Holstein (Germany) are considered innovative key technology partners for the international mechanical engineering, medical technology and the automotive industry.
On 1 December, the new CEO of Kendrion N.V., Joep van Beurden, the former CEO Piet Veneema and Dr. Frank Nägele, State Secretary at the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Schleswig-Holstein, met at Kendrion Kuhnke in Malente. Also in attendance were Marcel Zegger, CEO of the Industrial Division, and Dr. Bernd Gundelsweiler, CEO of the Automotive Division.
Their discussions focused on the future of Schleswig-Holstein on its way to an important business and technology location, and the further development of Kendrion Kuhnke. The Kendrion Kuhnke Management assured that the Malente location with its production capacity and its special product development know-how will continue to play an important role for the company in the future as well.
In this connection the continued support of Schleswig-Holstein will play a significant role. As an example, Kendrion Kuhnke Automation had received a funding grant for the development of a safety control system for mechanical engineering during the past three years. The project is currently in its final phase and should receive the required TÜV certificate in 2016.
Future product development projects at Kendrion Kuhnke Automation are aimed primarily to the field of gas and fluid technology. In this field the company hopes for an even faster and better access to the attractive market of analytical technology. Dr. Nägele pledged the continued support of the provincial government to Kendrion Kuhnke at its Malente facilities. Thus optimal conditions are created for the company to continue to stay on its course for innovation and Malente will continue to deliver technical solutions to set new impulses in numerous industries.
