Following the takeover of the brake manufacturer EM Brake Systems AG in East Westphalia in 2013 KTR has implemented the second stage of integration by establishing KTR Brake Systems GmbH located in Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock.
The new »Competence Center for Brake Systems« is located on the premises of the new subsidiary company. In addition to the development and designing of brake components, extensive functional testing of KTR-STOP® and EMB-STOP series is performed here. As an example, tests are run in a special low-temperature climatic chamber allowing for testing with ambient temperatures down to -70 °C.
