Foamalite vertraut auf Infrarot zum Kristallisieren und Trocknen

Die Kreyenborg Plant Technology hat ein energieeffizientes Infrarot-Drehrohr zum Kristallisieren und Trocknen von PET an Foamalite in Irland geliefert. Der Spezialist für Plattenextrusion hat die Maschine in eine neue millionenteure Gesamtanlage in seinem Werk Loch Gowna integriert. "Besonders die Geschwindigkeit und die Effizienz des Systems konnten uns überzeugen", sagt Philip Jones, zuständiger Projektmanager bei Foamalite. Mit der Infrarot- Technologie wird eine Verarbeitung des Materials in Minuten statt Stunden erreicht. Da die Infrarot-Strahlung direct in das Material eindringt und es von innen erhitzt, ist der Energiebedarf sehr gering. Im Gegensatz zu herkömmlichen Systemen ergeben sich so zwei wesentiche Vorteile.
