An seinem Hauptsitz in Melsungen hat B. Braun sein bestehendes PAS-X-System im Werk A erfolgreich von PAS-X V2 auf PAS-X V3 upgedatet. B. Braun zählt zu den weltweit führenden Anbietern von Lösungen für den Gesundheitsmarkt und bietet Produkte und Systeme für Anästhesie, Intensivmedizin, Kardiologie, extrakorporale Blutbehandlung und Chirurgie. Im Werk A stellt das Unternehmen Anästhetika – Beruhigungs- und Schlafmittel – für Operationen her. Um die weltweit steigende Nachfrage bedienen zu können, sollte die Einwaage vergrößert und teilweise automatisiert werden (z. B. Dosierung von Ausgangsstoffen).
