BASE Company keeps investing in the further roll-out of the 4G network
"Customers expect from their operator: a good price, good service, and a good network - and that's our focus at BASE Company", says Jos Donvil, CEO at BASE Company., "We are very satisfied with the acquisition of this spectrum that enables us to roll-out our 4G network not only faster but also more cost efficient. We keep investing in our total network to offer our customers a better network every day."
The 800MHz license adds to BASE Company's already comprehensive spectrum portfolio. In combination with its 1800MHz holdings - on which it launched on 1 October 2013 as second operator in Belgium 4G services- and its 2.6GHz holdings, it has the ideal spectrum portfolio to deploy a high quality 4G network. 4G enables mobile devices to reach internet speeds that provide the same experience as surfing at home over the fixed internet connection. With the acquirement of the 800MHz license BASE Company will accelerate its 4G network roll-out and aims to obtain nationwide coverage by the end of 2014.
BASE Company customers can already experience the speed of 4G in 15 cities/areas (or a total of 76 cities and towns, details on www.basecompany.be). BASE Company customers with an unlimited tariff as of B-39 are automatically offered 4G in their existing package.
The network quality of BASE Company is recognized today as number one with regard to voice and stands at par with the number one in terms of data quality.
