For more than 45 years, knitter-switch has been at the forefront of electronic switching and will use electronica 2012 to demonstrate its unrivalled capability across professional, industrial and consumer market sectors.
knitter-switch always uses electronica to both introduce new products and meet its customers and this year’s show will be no different - with sales and support staff on hand to discuss the latest switch developments, specific applications and the new products included in the company’s 2013 product catalogue. Visitors to the knitter-switch booth will also be the first to get a copy of the new 2013 switch catalogue.
Key focus areas of the knitter-switch booth will include new steel keyboards for rugged, waterproof industrial and security applications; micro switches for proximity sensing and safety switching; examples of the company’s market leading membrane switching technology.
Also on display for the first time will be many of the new products introduced during 2012 including IP67 rated waterproof switches and illuminated pushbutton switches.
These will include a panel-mount pushbutton switch series that can be quickly mounted and easily connected for use in a wide variety of applications including power supply equipment, solar controllers, automotive service systems, vending machines, alarm panels and battery chargers.
The DPW-FO/DPWL-FO series is available in snap-in and threaded panel mounting options and are simple to connect to equipment via 2.8 x 0.4mm fast-on tabs for rapid solder-free termination. Rated to IP67 from the front, the switches can be supplied in a number of button colours as well as a range of round and square, plastic and metal cases. LED illumination in numerous single colour and bi-colours is also an option although this requires the use of solder terminals.
Another example is a washable illuminated pushbutton switch available in a choice of four LED colours. Designed for a wide variety of applications including office automation, games consoles, vending machines and measuring instruments, the TME 82 Series switches are designed for through-hole mount.
TME 82 pushbutton switches feature a choice of coloured LEDs – red, yellow, green or blue and are SPST (OFF-MOM) switches with a minimum lifetime of 100 000 cycles.
