New electrodes for cutting and joining
Improved cut edges with Kjelcut, crack-proof joints with Garant X
(PresseBox) (Finsterwalde, )In the field of cutting the new coated rod electrode Kjelcut is used for cutting and hole piercing. Designed for a variety of applications, it also cuts thicker plates of all alloyed and unalloyed steels, non-ferrous metals, cast iron and cast steel. During the process, through the oxidation of the sheathing raw materials the Kjelcut develops such a high gas pressure, that the liquid base material of the workpiece is pressed out. No auxiliary materials are required for separating cuts with the Kjelcut and the cost of equipment needed is very low. Consequently the Kjelcut cutting electrode can be used cost-effectively on building sites, at assembly sites and for the processing of scrap.
In future the basic double-coated electrode Garant X will serve as a valuable acquisition for crackproof seam welds in boiler construction, mechanical engineering and shipbuilding. It combines the benefits of a purely basic electrode with those of a double-coated one. For the welder it is as simple to handle as a double-coated electrode, with the good mechanical qualities of a basic sheathed one. In addition the welding process is almost free of spatter. The high class seam quality makes it particularly suitable for welds in constrained positions.
The Kjelcut cutting electrode and the Garant X welding electrode have been developed according to customer requirements. With that Kjellberg Finsterwalde once again demonstrates its know-how in the development of customer-specific solutions.
