New electrodes for cutting and joining

Improved cut edges with Kjelcut, crack-proof joints with Garant X

(PresseBox) (Finsterwalde, )
At the trade fair for welding and cutting in Essen, Kjellberg Finsterwalde presents new electrodes for both tasks - the Garant X for welding and the Kjelcut for cutting.

In the field of cutting the new coated rod electrode Kjelcut is used for cutting and hole piercing. Designed for a variety of applications, it also cuts thicker plates of all alloyed and unalloyed steels, non-ferrous metals, cast iron and cast steel. During the process, through the oxidation of the sheathing raw materials the Kjelcut develops such a high gas pressure, that the liquid base material of the workpiece is pressed out. No auxiliary materials are required for separating cuts with the Kjelcut and the cost of equipment needed is very low. Consequently the Kjelcut cutting electrode can be used cost-effectively on building sites, at assembly sites and for the processing of scrap.

In future the basic double-coated electrode Garant X will serve as a valuable acquisition for crackproof seam welds in boiler construction, mechanical engineering and shipbuilding. It combines the benefits of a purely basic electrode with those of a double-coated one. For the welder it is as simple to handle as a double-coated electrode, with the good mechanical qualities of a basic sheathed one. In addition the welding process is almost free of spatter. The high class seam quality makes it particularly suitable for welds in constrained positions.

The Kjelcut cutting electrode and the Garant X welding electrode have been developed according to customer requirements. With that Kjellberg Finsterwalde once again demonstrates its know-how in the development of customer-specific solutions.

Kjellberg Finsterwalde

The companies of the Kjellberg Finsterwalde Group have developed and produced welding technique and filler materials since 1922 and also plasma cutting technique since 1959. Today, they offer a large variety of products and technologies for thermal separating, joining and processing - it is no longer possible to imagine the metalworking industry without Kjellberg Finsterwalde.

Kjellberg Finsterwalde is the oldest manufacturer of plasma cutting technique in the market and is the world market leader in this area today. In particular, the HiFocus series with its excellent cut quality is evidence of the company's competence. Laser cutting systems complete the product range.

When it comes to joining and coating metal according to the highest welding quality standards, Kjellberg Finsterwalde is the right partner, too. The company concentrates on customer-specific all-in-one solutions, thus offering users in the metalworking industry competitive advantages.

Quality-tested welding electrodes are produced in the Kjellberg Finsterwalde Elektroden und Zusatzwerkstoffe GmbH - one of Europe's most modern electrode factories. The product range includes more than 60 standard electrodes and numerous special electrodes.

Since 2012 the Kjellberg Maschinenfabrik GmbH offers individual services in tool manufacturing and specialpurpose engineering from small series to high volumes.
