Keysight Technologies Inc. (NYSE: KEYS) hat sein Angebot an Arbiträr­signal­gene­ratoren um ein modu­lares Modell mit bis zu 92 GSa/s Abtast­rate und 32 GHz Band­breite erwei­tert. Der neue Hoch­geschwin­dig­keits-/Breit­band-Arbiträrsignalgenerator-M8196A ermög­licht es, mehrwertige Digital­signal­e (beispiels­weise PAM-4, PAM-8 oder DMT) mit 8 bit Amplitudenauflösung zu erzeugen und elek­trische oder optische Verbin­dungen mit Hilfe komplex modu­lierter Signale bis 64 GBaud zu testen. Als schnellster und viel­seitigster Signal­gene­rator am Markt ist der M8196A eine unverzichtbare Signal­quelle für die Forschung an Kommu­ni­ka­tions­anwen­dungen mit 100 Gb/s, 400 Gb/s und 1 Tb/s.
