Johnson Controls Global WorkPlace Solutions (GWS), ein weltweit führender Anbieter von integrierten Real Estate und Facility Management Dienstleistungen, wird ab 1. Januar 2012 für weitere vier Jahre technische Facility Management Dienstleistungen und Umzugsleistungen für die BASF erbringen. Das Leistungsspektrum umfasst unter anderem die Instandhaltung von ca.140 Gebäuden am Hauptstandort des führenden Chemieunternehmens in Ludwigshafen - dem größten Chemiestandort Europas - sowie am Agrar-Forschungsstandort Limburgerhof. Allein die Gesamtfläche der betreuten Gebäude in Ludwigshafen beläuft sich auf mehr als 400.000 m² mit ca. 8.000 Mietern.
