Im zweiten Teil der heise Security-Testserie "Online Security Scanner" (siehe www.heise.de/security) erhielt der Sicherheitsscanner "perisec" der Ulmer IT-Security Spezialisten it.sec GmbH gute Noten. Im direkten Vergleich mit sieben weiteren professionellen Schwachstellen-Scannern internationaler Anbieter überzeugte perisec nicht nur durch seinen Umfang (über 4.500 Sicherheitstest) und die intuitive Bedienoberfläche, sondern auch durch die benutzerspezifische Anpassung mittels eines Webfrontends. "it.sec hebt sich von den anderen Anbietern durch die web-basierte Konfigurationsmöglichkeit des Schwachstellenscanners Nessus ab. Jedes Plug-In kann einzeln selektiert werden...", so das Ergebnis des Security-Tests.
