Intel investiert Milliardenbetrag in 32nm Produktion

Intel investiert in den nächsten zwei Jahren rund sieben Milliarden US-Dollar in die Modernisierung von Produktionsstätten, kündigte Intel CEO Paul Ottelini heute an. Die Summe fließt in die 32 Nanometer- Technologie und übertrifft alle bisherigen Investitionen von Intel in einen neuen Fertigungsprozess. Dieser ermöglicht die Produktion von schnelleren, kleineren und energieeffizienteren Chips.

Investition in Innovation

Der Milliardenbetrag wird in erster Linie in die Modernisierung der Fabriken in Oregon, Arizona und New Mexico investiert. Damit sichert das Unternehmen rund 7.000 qualifizierte Arbeitsplätze an den genannten Standorten - Teil einer Gesamtbelegschaft von rund 45.000 Intel Mitarbeitern in den USA.
