Intel gab auf dem Intel Capital Global Summit 16 neue Investitionen in Technologieunternehmen über 62 Millionen US-Dollar bekannt. Darunter die Firma des 13-jährigen Shubham Banerjee aus Californien, der einen kostengünstigen Drucker für Brailleschrift aus Lego* Mindstorms EV3 und Intel® Edison entwickelt hat.

Intel Capital geht in diesem Jahr von einer Gesamtsumme an Investitionen in Höhe von 355 Millionen US-Dollar in den Bereichen neue Geräte/Wearables, Mobilität/Wireless, Entwicklung von Mikroprozessoren und System-on-a-Chip (SoC) Lösungen sowie Big Data und Cloud Infrastruktur aus. Ziel dieser Investitionen ist es, die Entwicklung von innovativen Unternehmen zu fördern.
