Betriebliche Bündnisse für Arbeit sind ein wirksames Instrument, um Firmenstandorte und Arbeitsplätze zu sichern. Dies zeigt eine Befragung von 1.285 Unternehmen der Metall- und Elektro-Industrie, welche im Sommer 2007 im Rahmen des Zukunftspanels des Instituts der deutschen Wirtschaft Köln (IW) durchgeführt wurde. Danach sprachen mehr als 46 Prozent der Betriebe mit einem solchen Bündnis uneingeschränkt von einem Erfolg; weitere 44 Prozent haben die angestrebten Ziele zumindest teilweise erreicht. Im Schnitt aller Firmen wurden je Bündnis 51 Arbeitsplätze gesichert und 32 zusätzlich geschaffen. Überdurchschnittliche Erfolge - 129 gesicherte und 127 neue Stellen je Bündnis - konnten der Fahrzeugbau und die Elektro- Ugsjvtzet xotxch.
