Steuermehreinnahmen schaffen Raum für Steuerentlastungen

Die aktuelle Steuerschätzung bestätigt für Berlin für die Jahre 2008 und 2009 die Prognose deutlicher Mehreinnahmen in Höhe von 454 Mio. Euro. So kommt es für den Berliner Haushalt 2008 zu einem Überschuss in Höhe von 595 Mio. Euro. Dieser positive Trend schafft Spielraum für dringend notwendige Steuerentlastungen bei der Grund- und Gewerbesteuer in Berlin. Sinnvoll wäre vor allem eine Senkung des Gewerbesteuer- Hebesatzes von derzeit 410% auf 390%.

Eine solche Steuersenkung wäre das ideale Instrument einer konjunkturstärkenden Wirtschaftspolitik.Berlin könnte mit einem im Großstadtvergleich attraktiven Gewerbesteuer- Hebesatz für den Standort punkten. "Mit einer solchen maßvollen Senkung kann der Senat eine
