Imtech: 50 million euro orders for sustainable high-tech buildings technology in Germany

Gouda - Imtech (technical services provider in Europe) has received orders valuing more than 50 million euro for sustainable, high-tech buildings technology in three large buildings in Germany

(PresseBox) (Hamburg, ) René van der Bruggen, Imtech CEO: 'In Europe, and particularly in Germany, Imtech is increasingly responsible for the complete technical infrastructure in buildings, in which sustainability and extremely low energy use are key. The high technical level, the multidisciplinary approach, 'best in class' knowledge of energy technology and total solutions adapted to the client give Imtech a distinguished profile in the market. This leads to a growing market position, even in difficult economic times.'

Head office of media group and publisher Spiegel in Hamburg

On the Ericusspitze in the 'HafenCity' in Hamburg (Harbour City, the new, attractive waterfront of the old port city), Imtech realises a sustainable, energysaving total technical concept for both the head office (14 storeys) of media group and publisher Spiegel, as well as the new Ericus-Contor office building (10 storeys). The two buildings, with a total surface area of 50,000 m², share a twostorey underground building. Imtech's extremely energyefficient solutions make it possible - even before construction begins - for the building, as the first building in the new HafenCity, to receive the 'gold environmental standard' precertificate.

'Media Factory' in Munich

Across from the 'Alten Messe' (exhibition area) in Munich, a hightech 'Media Factory' is being built in the form of an attractive Feng Shui campus. The complex consists of a great number of studios, pavilions and design offices and is intended for the creative industry, such as design agencies, architects and representatives from the fashion and film industries. In addition to various twostorey, customisable designer 'lofts' (spaces divided into zones from 120 m² to a maximum of 400 m²), the complex also includes an industrial warehouse built around 1900, a storage and work area from the sixties and a modern, underground parking garage. The harmonisation of the Feng Shui architecture between existing and new buildings is receiving special attention. Imtech is responsible for the complete technology package, which meets the highest sustainability requirements.

Hotusa Hotel in Berlin

Imtech is also supplying the complete, sustainable technical infrastructure in the new Hotusa Hotel in Berlin. The luxury hotel will have 221 rooms and suites and will be fitted with a highquality, eyecatching spa equipped with innovative technology. There is space for offices and shops on the ground floor and basement levels.
