Imperial Logistics in Afrika stärkt die Position als Vermarktungspartner der Pharma- und Konsumgüterbranche. Im Zuge dieser Strategie übernimmt Imperial Logistics 70 Prozent der Anteile des kenianischen Pharmahändlers Surgipharm. Das Transaktionsvolumen liegt bei 35 Millionen USD. Surgipharm mit Hauptbüros in Nairobi und Mombasa ist Kenias führender Vertriebshändler für pharmazeutische und medizinische Produkte. Das Unternehmen wurde 1985 gegründet. 330 Mitarbeiter erwirtschaften einen Jahresumsatz von 70 Millionen USD. In Kenia betreibt das Unternehmen 4.700 Quadratmeter Lagerfläche sowie eine eigene Flotte von Verteilerfahrzeugen. Surgipharm bedient in Kenia eine Vielzahl von Vertriebskanälen für Pharmazeutika.
