ECCOM, das Kompetenzzentrum für Elektronischen Geschäftsverkehr und die IHK zu Rostock setzen die Veranstaltungsserie "Internet und E-Business 2007" fort. Dazu findet am 21. Juni 2007 von 14.00 bis 18.00 Uhr in der IHK zu Rostock ein Workshop zur Einrichtung eines Online-Shops auf Open Source Basis statt.

Der E-Commerce boomt. Zu diesem Ergebnis kam der Bundesverband Informationswirtschaft, Telekommunikation und neue Medien (BITKOM) mit Blick auf die positiven Zahlen für den Online-Handel 2006. Dieser Trend soll auch in Zukunft anhalten. Bis zum Jahr 2010 prognostiziert der BITKOM dem elektronischen Handel mit Privatkunden Wachstumsraten von über 40 Prozent.
