GDT8546RZ ist der erste Serial ATA Hardware RAID Controller der von Microsoft für den Einsatz in hochverfügbaren "mission critical" Server-Lösungen qualifiziert wurde. Der ICP Controller hat alle "Qualification Service" Tests des Windows Logo Programmes erfüllt und wurde in die Microsoft Hardware Kompatibilitätsliste (http://www.microsoft.com/hwdq/hcl/search.asp.) aufgenommen.

GDT8546RZ ist ein vier Kanal 64-Bit/66MHz PCI RAID Controller mit Intel® 80303 I/O RISC CPU mit integriertem Coprozessor (Hardware XOR Engine) für schnelle RAID 4/5 Parity Berechnungen.
