Ein Blick auf die Geschichte des Tourismus im Harz

Erstmalig referierten am Mittwoch, den 15. April 2009, Studenten des Instituts für Geschichte der Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg an der Hochschule Harz vor ihren Wernigeröder Kommilitonen. "Quer durch den Harz - die Anfänge des Tourismus in einem deutschen Mittelgebirge" lautete der Titel der öffentlichen Gastvorlesung, die die Tourismusgeschichte der Harzregion vom 17. bis ins 20. Jahrhundert behandelte und sich vor allem an Studierende des Studiengangs Tourismusmanagement richtete. "Die Geschichte des Tourismus im Harz birgt großes Potenzial für gegenwärtige und zukünftige Entwicklungen", begründete Dr. Uwe Lagatz den Einsatz seiner Studierenden.

Einen Schwerpunkt der Vorlesung bildete die Tourismusgeschichte des Brockens, dem "Mont Blanc
