Dale Askey über die Kluft zwischen Wissenschaftlern und Bibliotheksbeständen

Der amerikanische Bibliothekar Dale Askey wird am kommenden Mittwoch, 28. Mai 2008, zu einem Vortrag an der Hochschule für Technik, Wirtschaft und Kultur Leipzig (HTWK Leipzig) weilen. Der Studiengang Bibliotheks- und Informationswissenschaft hat den Experten nach Leipzig eingeladen. "Information Ecologies - Die Kluft zwischen Wissenschaftlern und Bibliotheksbeständen" lautet das Thema, zu dem er referieren wird. Sein Vortrag untersucht die Kluft zwischen den aktuellen Methoden des Bestandsaufbaus in wissenschaftlichen Bibliotheken der USA und dem Informationsbedarf von Geisteswissenschaftlern im digitalen Zeitalter. Im Anschluss an den Vortrag ist eine Diskussionsrunde geplant.
