Die Organisation Women in Management (WIM) und die International Finance Corporation (IFC), Mitglied der World Bank, halten seit sechs Jahren den sogenannten ‘Professional and Career Women Award’ ab. Auch in 2016 fand die Zeremonie inmitten vieler Parlamentarierinnen, Diplomatinnen und Managerinnen aus der Wirtschaft und dem öffentlichen Sektor unter dem Thema “Taking Sri Lankan women to the world” statt.
