Mit der neuen Generation der GMX Internet-Telefonie-Software sind jetzt auch ISDN-Funktionen wie Anklopfen, Rückfrage, Makeln und Dreierkonferenz möglich. Zudem bietet die neue Version der GMX NetPhone Software eine Adressbuchfunktion sowie die Kurzwahl zu besonders häufig genutzten Nummern. Neben den deutlichen Verbesserungen im Bereich Sprach-Telefonie beherrscht die neue Software auch Video-Telefonie.

GMX Nutzer können die GMX NetPhone Software kostenlos downloaden. Nach der komfortablen Installation kann eine bestehende Festnetz-Rufnummer für Internet-Telefonie frei geschaltet werden. Für die GMX Internet-Telefonie geht der Kunde keine Vertragsbindung ein, auch eine Grundgebühr oder Mindestumsatz fallen nicht an.
