NORD DRIVESYSTEMS erweitert sein Motorenangebot für IE3 Premium Efficiency und bietet diese Effizienzklasse ab Januar 2016 ab 0,12 kW an. Damit lassen sich Anlagen künftig leichter durchgängig mit hocheffizienten Systemen ausrüsten. Kleinere Motoren im Leistungsbereich von 0,12 kW bis 0,75 kW machen einen großen Anteil aller Antriebsanwendungen aus. Jedoch wurden die Wirkungsgrade für diese Leistungsklasse erst mit der letzten Stufe der EU-Ökodesignrichtlinie für Netzmotoren definiert und in der internationalen Norm IEC 60034-30-1 niedergelegt. Gesetzlich besteht in diesem Segment kein Zugzwang: In der EU gilt die IE3-Pflicht derzeit erst für Motoren ab 7,5 kW.
