Für moderne Mikrowellen-Messgeräte setzt ein italienisches Unternehmen Garlock GYLON® Style 3504-Dichtungen ein und löst damit bisherige Leckageprobleme

Ein Unternehmen, das sich auf fortschrittliche Mikrowellen-Messgeräte für analytische und organische Chemielabore spezialisiert hat, entwickelte den ersten All-in-One-Gewebeprozessor. Dieser verfügt über eine patentierte Mikrowellen-Hybridverarbeitungstechnologie. Normalerweise wird die Temperatur in solchen Anlagen mit elektrischem Widerstand erhöht. Dieser Hersteller verwendet jedoch Mikrowellen, um eine präzisere Temperaturkurve und einen schnelleren Prozess (Biopsie) zu erhalten. Die Analysezeit wird so von 10 auf 2 h reduziert. Leider gab es jedoch immer wieder Leckageprobleme. Für die Suche nach einer neuer neuen Dichtungslösung waren folgende Anforderungen definiert: Das Dichtungsmaterial sollte mikrowellentransparent, chemisch beständig gegen Prozesssäuren und ausreichend elastisch sein.
