Fujitsu Siemens Computers hat in enger Kooperation mit Sony die in Fujitsu Siemens Computers Notebooks verbauten Sony-Batterie-Zellen untersucht. Diese Recherchen und die Informationen von Sony lassen den Schluss zu, dass die Batterien der Notebooks von Fujitsu Siemens Computers aufgrund der Systemkonfiguration und der verwendeten Ladetechnik nicht dem Risiko einer Überhitzung ausgesetzt sind, wie sie verschiedentlich berichtet wurde, wenngleich es keinen hundertprozentigen Ausschluss von Fehlern bei Batterien im allgemeinen gibt.

Bis heute wurden dem Unternehmen keine Vorfälle mit fehlerhaften Sony-Batterien in Fujitsu Siemens Computers Notebooks gemeldet.
