Die freenet AG hat heute einen Vertrag über den Erwerb der debitel Group, im Wesentlichen bestehend aus der debitel AG, der TALKLINE GmbH und der _dug telecom ag, geschlossen. Die Verkäuferin ist die von den Permira Fonds mehrheitlich kontrollierte Holding Gesellschaft debitel (Netherlands) Holding BV. Der Aufsichtsrat der freenet AG hat dem Erwerb zugestimmt.

Als Gegenleistung für den Erwerb der debitel Group gewährt freenet der Verkäuferin 32 Millionen neue freenet Aktien (ca. 24,99 % nach der Kapitalerhöhung) sowie ein langfristiges verzinsliches Verkäuferdarlehen in Höhe von €132,5 Mio.
