New pipe system for aggressive exhaust air in industrial processes

(PresseBox) ( Porta Westfalica, )
email250light is the high-quality pipe system alternative for aggressive and exhaust air and waste water in industrial processes.

The installation-friendly light-weight has excellent chemical resistance due to its acid-proof enamel coating, is anti-adhesive and can withstand high thermal loads. The smooth surface is easily cleaned and exhibits a high level of safety during fires. Another advantage of this price competitive pipe system is its high, long-term resistance. Material embrittlement typical for plastics is unknown to this enamelled system. These are the special strengths of this pipe system innovation.

Until now, thin-walled enamelled systems did not exist for exhaust air or waste water technologies. Up to now, commercially available systems have been mostly thick-walled, heavy and lined with synthetic material or constructed from glass. Plastic models are increasingly becoming obsolete, in particular due to tightening of internationally-accepted fire protection regulations.

Areas of application for email250light are found in numerous industries, especially in the chemical, pharmaceutical and plastics industries as well as in environmental technology, recycling, cooling air/exhaust air systems, dust extraction and degreasing. In other words, everywhere where chemical wastewaters, aggressive air, welding smoke, acetic acid, fats, etc. must be drawn away from the manufacturing process.

New: "Vacuum pipes" have now joined the programme

JACOB PIPE SYSTEMS has now expanded their catalogue with the inclusion of the 60 mm diameter pipe. The standard product range also includes piping with diameters of 60 - 800 mm.

Even for the newest, smallest pipe diameter DN 60, specific quality standards - which distinguish serial production - are applied. The system solution, which is based on the modular concept, is also longitudinally welded with lipped ends. The tightly closing connection for pipe system components works together with the proven and tested two-parted pull-ring with a U-shaped seal - and is also now available in the new 60 mm diameter. JACOB offers DN 60 as a stainless steel and primed material, galvanised upon request, with a wall thickness of 1.5 mm.

Due to its small diameter, these pipes are simply defined as "vacuum piping" and are predominantly intended for use in exhaust air/dust extraction systems for workplace cleaning in areas where dust-explosions are a risk.

New: Solvent-resistant PTFE U-shaped seal

Another new development offers a special advantage: successful implementation of technical know-how by JACOB PIPE SYSTEMS has produced their protective PTFE U-shaped seal for particularly demanding applications. This U-shaped seal is available for pipe systems with diameters from 80 to 300 mm and wall thicknesses between 1 and 3 mm.

In combination with the tried and tested JACOB pull-ring, this latest development ensures the best possible impermeability and resistance, especially during contact with aggressive solvents. The special membrane design, together with an O-ring, makes the otherwise relatively stiff PTFE U-shaped seal more elastic. The excellent impermeability values are a direct result of the interaction between the membrane and sealing ring contour and their alignment with the JACOB pull-ring. The black, electrically conductive PTFE U-shaped seal is also available in white (FDA approval).
