And the ECCS Award goes to … Max Bögl. Nach 2001 (CargoLifter-Werfthalle nahe Berlin), 2008 (Dreiländerbrücke in Weil am Rhein) und 2013 (Lochkov-Brücke nahe Prag) wurde die Firmengruppe jetzt zum vierten Mal mit dem European Steel Design Award – für den Neubau der Sundsvall-Brücke rund 400 Kilometer nördlich von Stockholm (Schweden) ausgezeichnet.

Mit ihrer außergewöhnlichen doppeltgekrümmten Form gilt die 1.420 Meter lange Stahlbrücke, die Mitte Dezember 2014 feierlich von Schwedens König Carl XVI. Gustaf für den Verkehr freigegeben wurde, als Paradebeispiel modernster Ingenieurskunst. Die spektakuläre Konstruktion aus bis zu 160 Meter langen und 2.500 Tonnen schweren Brückensektionen überspannt in einer
