Storage-Spezialist FalconStor Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: FALC) unterstützt jetzt auch die neue Microsoft Windows Server Platform 2003. FalconStors Software IPStor optimiert die Storage Management Features von Windows Server 2003, darunter der Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) und der Virtual Disk Service (VDS), indem sie Management, Zuverlässigkeit und Verfüg-barkeit verbessert. Ein Großteil der IPStor-Features ist mit VDS und VSS kompatibel. VDS kann z.B. die IPStor Services für Speicheraggregation und - Bereitstellung für das Management virtualisierter Systeme nutzen. IPStors Snapshot Services fertigen für VSS Volume Level Snapshots an und sichern dem VSS Writer außerdem die Integrität der Applikationsdaten. IPStor ergänzt Windows Server 2003
