Extreme Networks schützt Voice-over-IP-Verkehr vor Angriffen

Mit einem Satz neuer Regeln verhindert die Sicherheits-Appliance Sentriant von Extreme Networks ab sofort auch Angriffe, die sich gegen IP-Telefonie-Komponenten in konvergenten Netzwerken richten. Die Geräte beobachten dabei zunächst den normalen Datenverkehr zwischen IP-Telefonen, VoIP-Gateways und Call-Servern. Treten dort plötzlich Anomalien auf, blockiert Sentriant den unerwünschten Verkehr und lenkt gleichzeitig die Angriffe von den Kommunikationskomponenten weg auf sich selbst. Neben den neuen VoIP-Attacken wie Gatekeeper-Flooding, SIP-Invite-Floods oder DoS-Angriffe auf SIP-Registrierungen erkennt Sentriant weitere Anomalien wie Netzwerk-Scans, Port-Mappings, zufällige oder sequentielle IP-Verbindungsversuche, Protokoll- und Richtlinienverletzungen sowie Denial-of-Service-Attacken.
