EWE investiert in sichere Erdgasversorgung

Vor dem Hintergrund des anhaltenden Gasstreites zwischen Russland und der Ukraine weist die Oldenburger EWE AG darauf hin, dass der Gasstreit keine Auswirkungen für EWE Kunden hat. Grund: "Im Ems-Weser-Elbe-Gebiet bezieht EWE sein Erdgas aus inländischen und verschiedenen westeuropäischen Quellen, insbesondere aus den Niederlanden. Zudem investiert EWE seit den 70er Jahren in den Ausbau von Erdgasspeichern, die vorübergehende Lieferengpässe generell ausgleichen können", sagt Jörg Budde, bei EWE verantwortlich für die Erdgasbeschaffung und die Erdgasspeicherung. In diesen Speichern lagere EWE unter anderem auch für andere Versorger Erdgas ein und könne dadurch deren mögliche Versorgungsengpässe abmildern.
