EVT stellt das neue Track & Trace Bildverarbeitungsprogramm für die Pharmaindustrie vor. EyeTrace sorgt für Rückverfolgbarkeit und Fälschungssicherheit bei Medikamenten durch Kontrolle der pharmazeutischen Verpackung. Produktfälschung in der Pharmaindustrie hat der Schutz hohe Priorität, da minderwertige Qualität gravierende Folgen für die Gesundheit der Verbraucher nach sich ziehen kann. Besonders da heutzutage die gefälschten Medikamente äußerlich kaum mehr vom Original zu unterscheiden sind. Selbst Sicht- und Sicherheitsprüfungen in den Apotheken alleine reichen nicht mehr aus. Zusätzliche Sicherheitsmerkmale auf den Verpackungen sind daher unumgänglich. 2011 hat das EU-Parlament die Richtlinie 2011/62/EU beschlossen, wonach rezeptpflichtige Arzneimittel seriennummernpflichtig sind. Dadurch ist die Nachverfolgbarkeit gewährleistet.
