EEX: Rekordvolumina am Spotmarkt für Erdgas

Der Spothandel für Erdgas an der European Energy Exchange AG (EEX) hat im Monat Januar eine neue Rekordmarke erreicht. Mit einem Volumen von 237.126 MWh (Marktgebiete GUD und NCG) wurde das bisher höchste Monatsvolumen seit Handelsbeginn im Spotmarkt umgesetzt (Vorjahreszeitraum: 70.080 MWh). Dabei wurden mehr als 350 Handelsgeschäfte getätigt. Das höchste Tagesvolumen in diesem Zeitraum betrug 17.760 MWh (20.01.2009).

"Das ist ein guter Start. Die EEX wird das Jahr 2009 intensiv nutzen, um die Liquidität am Erdgasmarkt weiter aufzubauen.", betont Oliver Maibaum, Börsengeschäftsführer der EEX. "Immer mehr Unternehmen nutzen die EEX als Handelsplattform für Erdgas. Mit den Stadtwerken München haben
