Eurofins MWG Operon Offers Advanced De Novo Genome Sequencing

Use of different types of genomic DNA libraries enables sequencing and scaffolding of genomes of any size

Eurofins MWG Operon, an expert in next generation sequencing (NGS) routinely uses up to 5 different non-cloned genomic DNA libraries for sequencing with Roche GS FLX or Illumina HiSeq 2000 technology. The libraries are a combination of shotgun and long paired end (LPE) libraries with different jumping distances (3 kb, 8 kb, 20 kb and up to 40 kb). After sequencing, the resulting reads are assembled into large contigs and merged into scaffolds. Additional sequencing of normalised or methyl depleted libraries allow deep sequencing of euchromatic regions in highly repetitive genomes.
