Der Anbieter von Sicherheitssoftware ESET hat mit seiner Software NOD32 Antivirus Version 3.0 beim aktuellen Test "Ubuntu Linux Server Edition" des renommierten unabhängigen Fachmagazins "Virus Bulletin" den VB100 Award gewonnen. Damit erzielt ESET einen Branchen-Rekord: Mit insgesamt 50 gewonnenen Virus Bulletin Awards führt ESET die Liste der Auszeichnungen vor allen anderen Herstellern von Antivirus-Software an. Seit dem Beginn der Tests 1998 hat NOD32 eine Erfolgsrate von über 96 Prozent und liegt damit im absoluten Spitzenfeld, denn die Mehrzahl anderer Hersteller von Antivirus-Software rangiert bei 50 bis 75 Prozent.
