EPTDA continues its successful growth march welcoming four new members

(PresseBox) (Brussels, ) The European Power Transmission Distributors Association (EPTDA), the leading European organisation for the mechanical Power Transmission and Motion Control (PT/MC) industry, continues its successful growth as it welcomes again four new members from various horizons - Turkish distributor Caglayanlar, US-based manufacturer KB Electronics, manufacturer NB Europe, operating from the Netherlands, and German manufacturer Metallwarenfabrik Forchtenberg. With these recent memberships, EPTDA boasts member portfolio increase of 8 companies in just five months since January 2012. These new comers will be officially acknowledged during the EPTDA Lisbon 2012 convention scheduled on 26-28 September, in Portugal.

Caglayanlar A.S. is an A-brand distributor of bearings. Founded in 1981, the company is based in Istanbul, Turkey. Caglayanlar is the fourth Turkish distributor member at EPTDA, which now focuses on increasing its representation in Easter Europe, Middle East and Africa.

KB Electronics first joined the EPTDA in 1998. The association welcomes them back on board. Since 1967, KB Electronics, Inc. has dedicated itself to manufacturing the best AC drives and DC drives. KB designs and builds, in the United States, over 200 control models to serve the fractional to 5 horsepower market. KB's distribution includes over 800 distributor locations in over 30 countries. The company prides itself in being able to provide customization to any of their motor drive products, thereby allowing their customers to purchase a product specific to their manufacturing needs. NB Europe was also a chart member of the EPTDA since 2004. Arja Twigt, Sales Manager at NB Europe, explains the reasons for joining again: "I wanted to renew our EPTDA membership because I think EPTDA is a good way to discuss, exchange views and liaise with stakeholders and key figures in the PT (power transmission) business. I appreciate the EPTDA convention a lot, especially the MD-IDEX (Manufacturer-Distributor IDea EXchange programme featuring twelve B2B, one-on-one meetings between manufacturers and distributors) and the Gala dinner - besides other business and social functions - as good networking tools." NB Europe was established in the Netherlands in 2002 as the Headquarters of Nippon Bearings Co., Ltd., a Japanese manufacturer of linear motion components since 1939, for Europe and the surrounding markets. This was done to be closer to customers and to ensure a fast response to customer requests and changing market needs. The Europe office has a technical department to assist with all design queries and keeps products in stock. NB can deliver Ex-Warehouse to anywhere in Europe within a short time. Metallwarenfabrik Forchtenberg (MFO) was founded in 1937 as a manufacturer of turned parts. MFO has been located in Forchtenberg in the Kocher Valley, Germany ever since. Since 1995, the family enterprise has been being managed in its third generation. The manufacturing program, supported by 70 years of experience, includes standardised parts for the roller-bearing industry, among others. MFO can fabricate any conceivable design for its customers and develop new solutions together with them to meet their individual requirements. Periodical certification of the company's quality management system according to ISO 9001:2000 underscores MFO's claim to quality. For more information, visit

"We are extremely happy to welcome again two of our former members KB Electronics and NB Europe, which indicates that the EPTDA has further matured and gives an answer to the PT/MC Industry's need of having a platform where companies can learn, exchange ideas and experiences, and network," comments Hans Hanegreefs, Executive Vice President of the EPTDA. "As the association is continuing its Growth Initiative, more companies are expected to join the group as effective members. In addition, these newcomers and existing members will get to know each other at the upcoming EPTDA Lisbon 2012 convention. Over 300 PT/MC decision-makers and professionals are awaited at this international business meeting where distributors can meet personally with manufacturers from across Europe mainly, but also USA and emerging regions such as Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa," continues Hanegreefs.
