Brussels, (PresseBox) - As part of the development of the Demand Connection Code (DCC), ENTSO-E publishes a 'Call for Stakeholder Input' along with a feedback document today 5 April 2012. This 'Call for Stakeholder Input' focuses on feedback from, among others but not limited to, DSOs, industrial electricity customers, potential actors in the domain of demand side response services and domestic appliance manufacturers. The purpose of the survey is to gather stakeholder input on the main options that can be taken in the DCC. All parties with an interest in the code are first requested to read the 'Call for Stakeholder Input' in advance of filling in the feedback document and requested to submit the feedback document to by 9 May 2012.

To date, the work carried out in the DCC development led to a set of questions on which feedback from all who have an interest in this code is requested. The questions included in this survey are twofold. First, viewpoints are requested on the main options that can be taken in the DCC in the context of evolutions the power system is facing. Secondly, for a set of specific items case studies with a cost benefit analysis are provided. Stakeholders are requested to provide relevant data and arguments when responding to these items.

This 'Call for Stakeholder Input' is part of the first consultation phase of the DCC. The input received will be published and used to give direction to the code and provide justification on the next draft of the DCC. A web-based consultation on a draft version of the DCC is planned to start in June 2012.

The formal development phase of the Demand Connection Code was initiated on 5 January 2012 for a one year period. ENTSO-E is currently in the stage of drafting the code based on input from bilateral meetings with relevant European-wide associations including a DSO Technical Expert Group, IFIEC, CENELEC and CECED. All minutes of these past meetings are available on the ENTSO-E Demand Connection Code webpage.

As part of this first consultation phase, ENTSO-E has already announced a public workshop on 18 April. The agenda for this workshop is now available. Also a user group has been initiated.
