In komplexen Netzwerkstrukturen mit einer hohen Anzahl von CAN-Knoten erlaubt der Einsatz von CAN-Stern-Repeatern einen flexibleren Aufbau des Netzwerks. Diese Flexibilisierung kann zu einer Reduktion der Installationskosten führen. Im Vergleich zu einer Installation mit herkömmlichen Repeatern können die Kosten je Kanal durch den Einsatz von CAN-Stern-Repeatern substanziell gesenkt werden. Zur embedded world 2020 erweitert EMS Dr. Thomas Wünsche das Sortiment der CAN-Stern-Repeater um den CAN-Repeater CRep S26. CRep S26 erfüllt die Funktion von 26 einzelnen CAN-Repeatern bei einer Erhöhung der Durchlaufzeit, welche lediglich einem CAN-Repeater entspricht.
