Die SX2-SLIDE von EKF bietet in industriellen CompactPCI Serial Systemen zwei unabhängige Datenkanäle mit jeweils 20 GB/s Übertragungsrate. Die Steckverbinder erlauben den Einsatz optischer PCIe Kabel und überbrücken bis zu 300m.

Mit der brandneuen CompactPCI Serial Baugruppe SX2-SLIDE von EKF verfügen Systemingenieure nun über eine neue scharfe Waffe, um verteilte Hochgeschwindigkeitsanwendungen zu realisieren. Eingesetzt im CompactPCI Serial x8 Slot (fat pipe), splittet der onboard-Controller den upstream-Link in zwei downstream-Kanäle mit jeweils 20 Gb/s auf und bietet so die maximale Performance.

Die Busverlängerung kann über Kupferkabel gemäß der PCI Express External Cabling Spezifikation über eine Strecke bis ca. 7m erfolgen.
